Tricycline contains berberine sulfate, artemisinin, citrus seed extract (from grapefruit), and black walnut hulls. Berberine is the active constituent of goldenseal. Artemisinin, or qinghaosu, is the active constituent of sweet wormwood (Artemisia annua). These herbs have been studied for their anti-bacteria and anti-fungal properties and help with dysbiosis. Once the yeast and bacteria are eradicated, people often experience a reduction in digestive complaints such as gas, bloating, belching and bowel issues.
