They contain just enough alcohol to be absorbed under the tongue (the alcohol is vaporized and not absorbed), and thus bypass the gut where malabsorption may be a factor and oxidative reactions may cause hormone degradation*.
DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) is the most abundant adrenal steroid hormone in the body. After it is made by the adrenal glands, it travels into cells throughout the body where it is converted into androgens and estrogens. These hormones help regulate fat and mineral metabolism, endocrine and reproductive function, and energy levels*.
1.2mg (1 drop) of BioMatrix DHEA is equivalent to 3mg of micronized oral DHEA. BioMatrix DHEA has a 99% absorption rate.
